Incheon Station

Beyond Chinatown: reading Incheon as an open-port city from the last station

Start outside Incheon Station at Chinatown’s first paifang, then connect the jjajangmyeon street, the former Qing–Japanese settlement boundary stairs, Jayu Park, one open-port museum, and the reused warehouses around Incheon Art Platform. Allow four to six hours rather than racing through the official three-hour list, and read the architecture through unequal treaty-port power, migration, labor, and reuse—not simply as an “exotic” photo backdrop.
