Four evening hours in Busan: dinner and Gwangalli lights
For a late start or after a full morning: stay in Gwangalli instead of adding another trip across to Haeundae.

THE SHORT ANSWER
Walk from Gwangan Station to the beach, enjoy the waterfront, eat nearby and return for the evening view. The sample runs 17:00–21:00; adjust for seasonal daylight. This is a changing-light and bridge-view plan, not a promise of the sun setting into the sea.

Four evening hours in Busan: dinner and Gwangalli lights
Visit order · Times are planning allowances, not measured travel or opening hours. Hotel travel is extra.
Short on time
2h: 60 min return travel, 45 min queue-free food, 15 min views. Drop views if food queues.
Weather / admission changes
Light rain: an open Millak Hoe Town restaurant. Weather warnings: eat near your hotel, not on the coast.
Pins mark route anchors, not guaranteed restaurant/gallery/lift entrances. Confirm access on the day. Maps need internet; PDF links are clickable. On paper, search the Korean names.

Best for
Late starts · dinner and night views · returning visitors
Realistic pace
About 4 hours locally · station walks included, Millak optional
Why this order works
Keeping the evening within Gwangalli avoids a long sightseeing transfer. If you extend to Millak Waterside Park, check a new route home rather than automatically retracing the whole beach.
REALISTIC ROUTE
Your day, step by step
30+60+90+60 = 240 minutes, allocated to travel, queues, visits and return. These are planning allowances, not measured journeys or timetables. Accommodation travel is additional; adjust to bookings and live transport.

Walk out from Gwangan Station
Allow 30 minutes for navigation, crossings and the walk from Gwangan Station to the beach. Check your return route and last train. Avoid the water’s edge in strong wind.

A short walk before dark
Spend 40 minutes on one stretch of Gwangalli Beach and 20 resting. Do not extend to Millak Waterside Park; shift the start for the season’s sunset.

Dinner nearby
Allow 30 minutes to choose/wait for a beach-area restaurant and 60 for dinner. The map opens the beach area, not a restaurant reservation. Choose another nearby venue if the queue is too long.

60 min
Bridge views, then head home
Leave 25 minutes for the bridge lights and 35 to return to Gwangan Station. Show queues and a Millak extension are excluded. In crowds, shorten the viewing stop and return earlier.

PLAN B
How to adapt on the day
If time is short
With only two hours, drop the long walk: allow 60 minutes for the round trip, 45 for a simple meal without a queue and 15 for the night view. If seating is not immediate, drop the view too. Do not add Millak Waterside Park or Haeundae.
Rain or closures
In light rain with safe access, an open restaurant in Millak Raw Fish Town is an indoor meal alternative. Drop the beach walk and reserve 40 minutes for access/seating; confirm fish and table-service charges. In severe wind/rain warnings, do not travel along the coast for this fallback: eat near your accommodation.
When to shorten or stop
If a dinner queue consumes your last-train margin, skip the night-view stop. Even a confirmed drone show is not essential to this four-hour route.
What to check before you go
- Save 광안리해수욕장 and your accommodation in Korean.
- Expect changing beach and bridge light, not a guaranteed sunset over the sea.
- Check official same-day performance, cancellation and crowd notices.
- Include the walk back to the station in your return plan.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the full coastal day?+
It leaves out Haeundae and Dongbaek and focuses only on Gwangalli in the evening, making it easier to add after another morning activity.
Is the drone show guaranteed?+
No. Confirm dates, times and weather cancellations officially. It is not essential to this plan.
Must I walk to Millak Station?+
No. Millak Waterside Park and Millak Station are different places. If you extend the walk, search a convenient route home from your actual location.
Is Millak Raw Fish Town part of the core route?+
No. It replaces the beach walk with a meal only when rain is light and access is safe. Do not make the detour if raw fish does not suit you.
