PRIVACY

Only what is needed, when it is needed

This notice explains the information used for Google sign-in and community features, how advertising technologies may operate, and how visitors can manage their choices.

Information that may be processed

Google may provide an account identifier, name, email address, profile image, and session data. Posts, comments, linked stations, and creation or update times may be stored when community features are used.

Saved trips and browser data

Saving guides and itineraries does not require sign-in. The list is kept in localStorage in your current browser, not synced to an account server or another device or browser. Saving does not download the full page for offline use. Remove an item from Saved trips or clear this site’s browser data to delete it. Deleting your account does not clear the browser’s saved list.

On your first visit, we use your browser’s language preferences. A language selected from the menu is remembered in a functional cookie (kbs-language) for up to 180 days, not for advertising or visitor tracking. Change it from the language menu or clear this site’s browser data to remove it.

Purpose and retention

Data is used for sign-in, authorship, account controls, security, and abuse prevention—not to sell a contact list. Account information is kept while needed to provide membership features and meet applicable legal duties; users can request deletion from their profile.

External services

Google directly processes Google Account information during sign-in under Google’s privacy policy. Account information that Google provides to Korea by Subway is then handled under this service’s policy. The initial service uses Cloudflare Workers and D1 for application and database processing. R2 image storage and traveler photo uploads are not enabled. This policy will be updated before photo uploads are introduced.

Advertising, cookies and consent

This service uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads and prevent abuse. Google and third-party advertising providers may serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites, using Google advertising cookies and other advertising technologies.

Before serving ads in the EEA, UK, Switzerland and other regions where consent is required, we verify the Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) and request applicable choices. Advertising is enabled only after the required consent setup is in place. Declining or withdrawing consent does not block access to travel information, although it can change how ads are selected.

Access, download, deletion, and appeals

A signed-in user can download a JSON copy of their community data and request account deletion from the profile page. The same page accepts appeals against moderation restrictions. A deletion request pauses new community activity while identity and any legal retention exception are reviewed.

Opting out of personalized advertising

Google Partner Ad Settings lets you turn off personalized ads and confirm your choice. Settings can depend on your browser, device and Google sign-in status; check your choice in other browsers you use.

Opting out does not remove all advertising. Ads may still reflect the page topic or your approximate location. Where this site provides an advertising consent message, its choices can be reviewed or changed separately using the advertising privacy settings below.

How Google uses data from partner sites and apps

Advertising providers other than Google may also use advertising cookies. For opt-out options offered by participating providers, see the DAA’s advertising choices tool.
