Last check before you go
Check closures, bookings and weather. With large bags, arrange storage and a collection time before setting out.
Recheck last trains, transfers, works and lift availability.
Check the origin, interchange and destination separately. Maintenance can change the route, so ask station staff for day-of help.
Times vary by line, direction, weekday, weekend and holiday. For a late trip, verify the last possible interchange too.
The map links named places only. Add your chosen restaurant, performance or rest stop separately. Recheck last trains, works and facility outages with the official operator.
CHAPTER 01
Save the building on Seongseo Campus
The university name alone will not lead to the building in a photograph.
Hengso Museum lists its address at 1095 Dalgubeol-daero on Seongseo Campus. Save 계명대학교 행소박물관 to avoid confusing another campus or a broad university pin with the museum. Walking inside the campus remains after leaving the station.
Check museum notices and its entrance first, and Hanhakchon access separately. Permission to use a campus path is not permission to enter classrooms, dormitories or every traditional building.
CHAPTER 02
Spend longer with one object at Hengso Museum
Leave time to explore the museum’s objects as well as its architecture.
The official Gallery 1 description introduces prehistoric and excavated material by period. Choose an object and read about its material, where it was found and what it may have been used for. Do not assume every exhibit was found in Daegu.
If the language is difficult, start with the object name and findspot. Follow gallery photography rules. A listed workshop or group program does not establish walk-in participation for an individual visitor; viewing and education registration are separate.
CHAPTER 03
Photograph Hanhakchon within its public boundaries
Enjoy the different architectural styles while keeping teaching spaces and walkways clear.
Keep student routes, stairs and entrances clear. Read building names and notices in Hanhakchon and use only public areas. Similar roofs do not establish identical functions.
When exams or events restrict access, stay on confirmed open routes. If the museum is closed, check which other campus areas are open to visitors before changing your plans. Return to the station if the places you wanted are unavailable.
CHAPTER 04
Connect the visits without merging their histories
An object’s date and a building’s appearance are different evidence.
Record one object name and findspot at Hengso Museum; on campus, read a building’s stated use separately. Visiting both on the same day does not make them contemporary. Compare how an exhibition explains the past with how a building functions today.
Keep object captions and building names distinct in your notes. Where exhibition photography is prohibited, a written name is enough. A traditional-looking exterior is not a reason to open a door to investigate.
CHAPTER 05
Read who a program is for
University participation schemes are not the same as general admission.
Hengso notices include semester visits and activities linked to application pages. Read eligibility and dates before adding one to your day. A student program is not automatically a walk-in tourist activity, and a past special-exhibition photograph does not describe today’s permanent display.
If general admission is unclear, ask “오늘 개인 관람이 가능한가요?”—Can an individual visitor enter today? Check Hanhakchon separately. A museum opening does not establish access to other campus facilities; plan around confirmed places if you cannot obtain an answer.
CHAPTER 06
Locate the way out, not the university pin
There is still a campus-to-subway leg after the exhibition.
From the building where you finish, recheck the direction to Keimyung University Station. A general campus pin may not identify the gate you can use. Read the public route on the campus map alongside current entrance notices.
Pause photography when your route meets people leaving classes. In rain, ask where you may wait instead of treating a teaching building as a public shelter. Leave time for the station rather than squeezing in a final building.

FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS
What to verify during the trip
- Campus teaching comes first. Check museum opening and campus events; lecture halls and dormitories are not general visitor spaces.
- Keep Korean place names and your accommodation address offline.
- Check opening, transport, events and weather separately.
- Ask before photographing people, interiors or working areas.
- Drop the final stop when fatigue, darkness or uncertainty grows.
- Call 1330 for tourist help, 112 for police and 119 for fire or ambulance.
