EDITORIAL POLICY

Information you can verify

Editorial guides are never presented as traveler reviews. We identify the editor, show source links, and display the latest verification date.

1. Source priority

We prioritize transit operators, local governments, public tourism organizations, and official venue websites. Details that change—such as exits, opening hours, closures, and restrictions—are checked against the operator whenever possible.

2. Testing for international visitors

Although Korean is our primary drafting language, our usability test is a short-stay international visitor. We check whether buying, booking, paying, navigating, or asking for help requires a Korean phone number, resident identity, domestic app, or residence status. Resident-only programs are not presented as default visitor options, and language or proof barriers are paired with a practical alternative or official contact.

3. How a guide is built

We do not stitch official wording together. Sources are reorganized into a practical sequence: arrival station, walking route, realistic time, accessibility or etiquette notes, and a return plan. Facts and editorial recommendations are kept distinct.

4. Use of generative AI

Generative AI may help discover leads, structure drafts, translate, proofread, and create explanatory visuals. AI output is not accepted as evidence for exits, addresses, schedules, or fees. We prefer source- and license-verified photographs when a place must be identified. Conceptual AI visuals are explicitly labeled as AI-generated reference images and are never presented as documentary photos of the actual location or people.

5. Updates and corrections

Every guide displays a verification date and links to sources for final checks. When an error or material change is confirmed, we revise the page and update the verification date.

Who is responsible, and how to report an error

HOPESNS is the public pen name of the Korea by Subway operator, responsible for running the site, editing and updating guides, and handling corrections. This is not an official tourism or transit-operator website.

Editorial guides are research-based travel suggestions, not accounts of personal visits. When first-hand observations are included, their date and scope are identified separately.

Station guides explain access and transport; editorial guides compare places and explain choices; trip plans connect stops, time allowances and alternatives.

Use operator facility maps and notices to check entrances, stairs and lifts. Scenic photos and AI reference images do not establish present-day access.

Copy or design edits are separate from fact checks. A check date refers to the cited material, not a site visit or confirmation that every facility is operating today.

Found an error? Send the page URL, the sentence in question, the date checked and an official source if available. Do not send passport details, booking references or payment information.
