Olympic Park: an east-side walk without a full circuit

Start on the east side and set a turnaround time instead of circling the entire park. Adding Mongchontoseong’s slopes and the western World Peace Gate substantially increases walking. Event days can change crowd levels and access routes.

The day before

Check closures, bookings and weather. With large bags, arrange storage and a collection time before setting out.

Before setting out

Recheck last trains, transfers, works and lift availability.

Lift & step-free route

Check the origin, interchange and destination separately. Maintenance can change the route, so ask station staff for day-of help.

First & last train

Times vary by line, direction, weekday, weekend and holiday. For a late trip, verify the last possible interchange too.

The map links named places only. Add your chosen restaurant, performance or rest stop separately. Recheck last trains, works and facility outages with the official operator.

Make this stop work for you

Best for
A good outdoor break between exhibitions or shopping. The park is large, but not every path is flat or shaded; account for heat and walking effort.
If time is short
With around an hour, stay near the eastern entrance and return to the same station. Skip the fortress slopes and western World Peace Gate instead of attempting a full circuit.
Fit it into your day
For a Jamsil day, choose either a Seokchon Lake walk or this park for a lighter schedule. Add a separate transfer only if you want both; postpone the park in rain.

Times are suggestions for a short visit. Allow separately for travel and queues, and check opening on the day.

Choose what comes next

Other options in the same city, not one continuous walk. Check travel time separately before adding a stop.
